i-deck Compact available now for £150

Monitor Audio's popular i-deck has spawned a smaller sibling, the i-deck Compact.

The new model is, somewhat obviously, designed to be more compact than the i-deck choosing an all-in-one portable design over the previous three part set-up. This should lead to a couple of advantages, namely that it'll fit easily into smaller spaces and it'll be easy to pick up and take from place to place.

We're assured that the small size won't be detrimental to the sound quality, Monitor Audio claim the Compact will be able to fill a decent sized room with sound and that the sound produced will be “an audio performance of breathtaking power”.

Available in white or black to colour co-ordinate with your iPod, the i-deck compact promises to be a cinch to use, deliver top quality sound and all for a reasonable r.r.p. of £149.99.

We'll be testing one later this week so pop back next week for the full review.
